Attend the “Save It, Don’t Pave It” Rally to help protect our neighborhood from the CTRMA toll road plan to expand MoPac on the south side of the Lady Bird Lake by building a double-decker bridge over the lake.   You can make a difference! Join with us this coming Saturday, May 2nd, at 10:30 a.m. for a “Save It Don’t Pave It” rally at the Roberta Crenshaw pedestrian bridge beneath MoPac.  Learn more and speak out.  Send an email message to our elected officials.

On the other hand, if you don’t think the MoPac expansion plan will add more traffic through our neighborhood, don’t bother to attend the rally.Mopac

And if you don’t think the double-decker bridge over the lake will add more noise to our neighborhood, don’t bother to attend the rally.

And if you don’t think the double-decker bridge over the lake will provide a precedent for doing the same thing on the north side of MoPac through our neighborhood, don’t bother to attend the rally.DoubleDeckerBridge

And if you don’t think the addition of four new lanes will have any impact on Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Park, and Barton Springs, then skip it.

And if you think that connecting Mopac over to Interstate 35 by building SH 45 Southwest won’t blow up MoPac traffic through our neighborhood, then by all means, stay home.

But if you’re concerned about any of these effects, THEN RALLY ON SATURDAY!
