The West Austin Neighborhood and Deep Eddy are working again this year with Austin Parks and Recreation Dept. and C3 Presents to help minimize issues in the neighborhood due to the number of Austin City Limits Festival fest goers parking in and around our neighborhood.

Austin City Limits Festival this year is Oct 12-14, 11am – 10pm daily.

We have developed a plan to keep many of the streets closest to the festival open to allow for emergency vehicles to pass.  We will be installing City of Austin “No Parking” signs on one side of several streets that are enforceable by City of Austin Police.  (see map)

In addition we will have Dedicated Neighborhood ROVING Patrol, 10 officers and 1 sergeant (increased from 7 and 1), Roving 10 am until approximately 11 pm daily.  This dedicated unit will be roving and responding to issues/concerns throughout the impacted neighborhoods.

We will be publishing on our web site (www.westaustinng.com) a phone number to be the Command Center Call In Line.

Aircraft pulling advertising banners have been increasing during the last few years of the festival.  If they become a problem, here are some contact numbers for

FAA low flying aircraft information

The San Antonio Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) is the office that would take complaints about safety violations. That number is (800) 292-2023.

The FAA does not, however, take calls regarding nuisance complaints.

Nuisance/aircraft noise complaints would go to the Aviation Department. Stephen Dick Stephen.dick@austintexas.gov would be the point of contact for those. His number is (512) 530-5541.

Command Center Call in Line – (to be provided Oct.1) “The Austin Parks and Recreation Department has provided our neighborhood with a dedicated and manned phone number (Command Center) during festival hours for residents to call in parking violations and/or issues related to festival goers in our neighborhood throughout the Austin City Limits Festival. The Command Center will have direct contact with the dedicated roving Patrol officers for dispatch.”
