Dear Neighborhood Leaders,

The West Point Society of Central Texas has scheduled a clean-up of Covert Park at Mount Bonnell for Saturday morning on the 29th of September between 9 and 11. We are looking for 30 volunteers ages 15 and up to pick up litter in the parking lot and on the trails and to weed the gardens. We will provide the tools, work gloves, snacks and water.

Volunteers should sign up on line at < http://connect.austinparks.org/site/Calendar/1690163001?view=Schedule&id=108421#108482 >

This is the society’s eighth clean-up since we adopted the park in June 2010. It is scheduled to coincide with National Public Lands Day 2012 on Barton Creek Greenbelt & Austin’s Parks. There will be a lunch for volunteers at the Rock Garden picnic area at Zilker Park from 12:15 to 1:30pm thanks to FreeBirds World Burritos.

Please get the word out to your neighbors.
